Anyone else get a million meds and SATA?

Published

Just wondering, as I am still waiting to find out if I passed (one more hour!)... I had at least 20+ SATA. They took my tally sheet away as I was praying afterwards, so I didn't even see the total, and was too embarassed/afraid to ask to see it. I also had A LOT of med questions... No choose the spot, no nutrition (well, perhaps one?), and tons of infection control. Only one lab values question, and they gave me the norms!

I know that some here will say that you can't tell the difficulty of a question by its type, but what do you think? Are SATA truly the higher level? I hate them, but the PVT wouldn't let me register again, so I think they were a good sign...

congrats on passing!

I passed with 75 questions and tallied 10 SATAs and I had a ton of random pharmacology-some that I've never even heard of. Next I had a bunch of psych, then infection control............it was a really random exam.

I had around 10-12 SATA questions, and one math question. I think it is a good sign if you are getting several SATA's, but if you are getting any more than 2 math problems out of 75 that could be a bad sign.

I felt like i had 30 SATA and specific side effect med questions from meds i've never heard of. NCLEX was very specific. I think I was more overwhelmed when I left the testing facility!! Good luck to everyone!!

Thats not necessairly true. Lets not cause undue panic in those still left to take the exam with such statements.

I only had 3 and passed with 75 questions-but the med calcs I had were difficult. Many different conversions and multiple steps to each one. And math is easy for me. I am fairly certain that the calcs I received were higher level questions on my exam.
