We are having some friends come stay at our house this weekend and I can't seem to break out of "school mode" even though we just had 2 major exams I spent tons of time studying for and now I have a few days of breathing room. My plan was to relax and maybe take a little nap so I'm well rested when our friends arrived. Instead I layed in bed tossing and turning for an hour thinking about all the reading assignments I could be doing and ended up getting out of bed to do them. Anyone else have a hard time relaxing when they do have some down time?

Yup...I always feel very, very guilty like I am wasting time. I feel extremely guilty b/c even when I spend time w/my children, I can't focus.
It is the worst kind of torture.

Oh yes,
Around final exams and projects due date I feel like my social skills and desire are in neutral. Forming completely connected or coherent sentences are not a "priority" just then. :)
Also, I notice that right around degree time, (for my associates and my undergrad and now one quarter away from RN completion) I notice that I "really" start to like school. Its like the moment I am about to graduate and complete the program I finally get the hang of it!!
Your reactions to studying sound perfectly normal to me.
