Anyone else feel hopeless?

Published

I have finished all of my nursing prerequisites with a 3.0 gpa or higher in each class. I am volunteering at a hospital. I am doing a CNA program this summer. Despite all of these things, everytime I look at websites for nursing schools it seems like I need another random class, more volunteer hours, etc. There's always something I don't have and I don't have the time to do all these extra things for all the different schools so basically I have to choose one school a year to apply to. Is anyone else having these problems? It seems impossible to get into nursing school and I am getting so frustrated!

Hi there. At some point I felt that way too until I stopped focusing on just one school. Go to google and search '2017 Doh approved nursing schools' and it will give u a list of all nursing schools in the state. Different schools have different requirements but the prerequisites are almost the same. Try applying to multiple schools and keep an open mind that u can go to any school instead of just can focusing on one. I hop I helped a bit.

If you try and concentrate on getting into one school you are not going to have a great chance. Mostly all the pre reqs are the same, some require LOR and an essay, some don't. I applied to 7 programs for fall 2016 and got into 4, and my TEAS was not great. Just keep applying! You will get on somewhere
