Hey Everyone;
I am graduating in May of this year and just got my resume last week. I have already spoken to Mayo, Northern Arizona Healthcare, and UMC in Tucson, and Eisenhower in Palm Springs. They all were very cordial and seemed interested and let me know that the web sites for applying should be opening by month's end. Anyone else want to share your experiences? I have not been able to get anywhere with Scottsdale Healthcare, Banner, St. Joe's etc. Cannot find any job posting and no information to email recruiters? Any ideas or suggestions?
Also would love to hear form any new grads in December of 2008 who have obtained a position. I have heard hospitals may be cutting back? What have you heard?

have you clicked the careers section on st. joe's website? they list all available positions there, and there are a vast amount of RN positions, some for new grads too.
Thank, i'm going to check out the site now. I would love to get my resume to them.

Try Banner Good Samaritan - good hospital but busy (I worked there 18 months). They have a tough time keeping new grads and they always seem to have jobs posted - just saw several the other day. Good ICU orientation program.
Thanks for the heads up on Banner Good Sam, I will check their website.

all banner hospitals are on a hiring freeze. look at the job adds they say no new grads at this time. if anything they will only hire they banner fellows. i got denied tons of times through scottsdale, st joes, nursing homes, mayo, maricopa. i even went to a job fair and the first thing i asked was do you hire new grads? st. joes told me if you don't already work for them, that no, they were sorry. st. lukes will only hire apollo college new grads due to contracts.
