Anyone else apply to CEP this week?

hi,

just wanted to see if anyone else has applied or will be applying to the cep program this week?? it would be nice to have others to "wait in anticipation" with. i haven't seen much talk on here about the cep program, is everyone just waiting out the associates for maricopa instead?? i just couldn't imagine having to wait 4-5 semesters to get in.......

i am applying at mcc/nau today at 1pm.

I applied and CANNOT wait to hear. I hope they stick to the June 2 notification timeline. The letters seem superfluous. The content did not raise your rubric score at all; they just checked off that you had two letters. It seems silly. So I think that is why they got rid of that particular requirement. Also, I applied on the last day with about 1 hour until closing. Joi (the nau advisor) said she was surprised at how few apps they had and she figured it was because they did away with the provisional applications. The requirements are a bit more strict. She also said the average GPA seemed lower than last semester. Phew.... I hope that works in my favor. I had a 96% hesi and a 3.6 GPA. It will be close but I'm still hopeful. I'm also hoping that my previous bachelors from NAU may factor in. Looking back, maybe I should have taken the hesi again to bump my score.

i'm not sure why they took away the two letters of recommendations requirement. i had them ready, but they never asked for them. oh well, i have the letters if they want them later! the next three days or more are going to be tough...waiting to hear if we got in!

i also had 2 letters ready but oh well, i will just use them for something else. i am decently nervous....hope we get in!! :confused:

i thought it was a really good way for them to assess a person's character aside from grades but whatever. someone on the "board" at nau decided it wasn't necessary anymore. the advisor that took my app said they would let us know via email by june 2. what did they tell you?

you know what? the advisor that took my nau app said the exact same thing b/c i was asking questions trying to find out what the competition was....that's great for us!! whoa your stats are fantastic i'm sure you will get a spot. my gpa is 3.9 and hesi 94%. omg you are ridiculous your grades and hesi score are fantastic and if what they said its true (that the gpa is lower this semester) then its a shoe in!!! let us know if you receive any notification!!

Congrats!!! That's so exciting. I actually spoke with the advisor from Gateway today. I forgot to write my email down (awesome, I know). She said they will be out in the next day or two. She all but said that I was accepted, so fingers crossed. I would rather have the email though!!! Now I am worried I gave her the wrong email because I was so excited!!!

which cep schools did you apply for??? i'm nervous too i haven't gotten anything yet......:confused:

NAU. It's the only one I'm interested in. I thought donofasu was NAU also. Am I mistaken? Don't be nervous. What was your top campus?

yeah nau at gcc.....i can't help it damnit!!! lol i have a 100 question test tmmrw morning for my cna class and i can't even study i'm so distracted! well if i don't get in i'm gonna try for asu and if not that.....well i guess cep again next app cycle.....lol i need a glass of wine!
