Anyone been to Chamberlain Irwindale? How is it?

Hello everyone.

I apologize if this gets asked a lot but I recently got accepted into Chamberlain for Spring 2022. However, I'm a bit concerned with the cost and the amount of debt later on in the road. I also can't seem to find any reviews about this particular Chamberlain. Probably because of the fact that it is still a new university.

For those that attended or are attending Chamberlain how is it? Do the professors care? Are there any problems with the university I should know like understaffed clinical instructors? How is the quality of the university and education?

Any additional information I should is welcomed. Thank you.

How is Irwindale going for you?

Did you end up applying here? I am looking into it but the cost has me a bit scared ?

Hi All,

Just searched for this post, hoping for more responses and discussions... but I applied for the Fall 2022 at the Irwindale campus. Applying felt rushed... I had like less than 2 weeks to submit my transcripts, take the HESI, submit a statement of purpose, etc... had little to no interaction with the admissions rep, college advisor/coordinator, outside of the zoom meeting, automated emails, service reps contact, and when they actually reach out to you, which is rare. Bit worrisome/stressful on that part, but I got through it. Was notified of the admissions committee meeting this week, should know if I'm in or not soon. The cost does look a bit much, but I'm hoping my prereqs will transfer over and the costs will drop a bit. It is much cheaper than other BSN programs from a private institution that I've looked into. A few of my coworkers went through Chamberlain and recommended it.

Hey! I will also be attending the Irwindale campus this September! I'm going to back up the response above me that the application process felt very rushed. So if anyone is thinking about applying, start studying for the HESI asap. I would say because it's a newer campus, communication SUCKS. It's so hard to talk to anyone and get a response back, whereas with other nursing programs, they are on your butts on hearing back from YOU LOL. After getting accepted into Chamberlain, it took them 3 weeks to set up an appointment for me to see a student service advisor. I honestly felt very worried and thought that I was going to be behind on everything.

Hey bulldoglove,

Thanks for the response. I'm on the waiting list, congrats on getting accepted! You mind sharing your stats?

Chamberlain supposedly only looks at HESI, personal statement and college GPA. My HESI score wasn't too high. I scored an 84%. For my college GPA it was 3.2?, my science GPA was 3.6.  Was your HESI score slightly lower than mine? I hope you get accepted!

My HESI score was the same as yours, 84%. Though your GPA is much higher than mine. 3.0 cumulative, and I think my science courses were 3.4. Thanks, if I get accepted, I look forward to meeting you.

Irwindale campus is the easiest nursing school to get into!?

Hello Everyone I'm currently getting my transcripts reviewed any information would be helpful and if the program is worth it. I haven't received my college plan yet so they have not advised me of the tuition. Any information is helpful

Hi there, I'm in week 3 of my first session (BSN). So far so good. I chose CU over Stanbridge due to costs. At CU almost all my GEs were accepted which really cut down the tuition, and my plan are all nursing core courses. I should be done in about 2 years. I didn't get accepted the first time, but they asked if I wanted to get reviewed again, think it didn't cost me anything for a 2nd look, and about a month later they told me I was in.  What information were you looking for? I'd say go thru the process and in the end if you get in, you'll decide if you wanna be at CU. The admin staff, instructors, and classmates all seem like a good bunch of people. Oh! If you haven't taken the HESI exam. Be sure to get above 80 percent. Good luck!

Congratulations on admission and starting your nursing journey. Thank you so much all that information was helpful. I was shocked that Stanbridge was actually more than west coast so. For the HESI is it all subject including A&P and Chemistry ?
