I need info regarding classes, days and hours? I will be starting july 2013
I think many people get accreditations confused. The most important thing in California is that it is approved by the Board of Registered nursing (regionally accredited) to get your ADN license. NLNAC and WASC are supplemental accreditations.
For many schools (not all), they need WASC accreditation in order to transfer credits to a BSN program such as the ones I previously mentioned: CSULB, CSULA, CSUF, Azusa Pacific and Cal Baptist. NLNAC is not needed in order to find a job. Many prestigious ADN programs such as Pasadena, Glendale, Rio Hondo, Citrus, Mt Sac and Mt St Mary are all not NLNAC accredited yet people who graduate from there are able to find jobs (as previously mentioned two of my friends). However, it is getting more competitive. If anything, I think employers are looking more for Bachelors degrees vs NLNAC accreditation like magnet hospitals (St Jude, CHOC, etc). I have been told that NLNAC or CCNE accreditation is paramount in BSN and MSN programs but not ADN. And lastly, NLNAC is probably important if you are looking to work outside of California and are not planning to continue to your BSN. If you're in California, it is more of a plus than a requirement. Hope this helps. I have done extensive research on this subject.

"CCNE assures the quality and integrity of baccalaureate, graduate and residency programs in nursing" -- this does not apply to ADN programs.

Above is the link to California NLNAC accredited schools. Mount Saint Mary's ADN program is not on there. I believe it is their Bachelors or Masters program that is CCNE accredited.
Two of my friends graduated from their ADN program and are employed at UCLA and Cedars Sinai. So no, it's not necessary to be NLNAC accredited to get a job.
If I'm wrong, please let me know the hospitals you have asked that require NLNAC accreditation so I can research this even further. When they say "accredited", they usually mean by the Board of Registered Nursing so please double check they are referring to NLNAC. Thanks!

Exactly !!!! You have done your research !! All those other accreditations are pointless for me the one that means the most to me would be wasc! I wouldn't do it unless it's wasc west coast just became wasc accredited because it knows how important it is
Actually CCNE and NLNAC are important for Bachelors and Masters programs but not for ADN. NLNAC for ADN is probably more important for those not continuing on to their Bachelors and those working outside of California. If you talk to someone outside of California (for example I spoke with someone in Ohio), they will say NLNAC is important.
WASC is also supplemental but not required. I believe Lawrence found schools that will take CNI credits so its all up to the individual what's most important to them. For us specifically, WASC is important because we would want to go to specific schools and transfer credits but its not for everyone and I realize that now :) I've learned to respect others' decisions because everyone has different circumstances. I just wanted to clarify accreditations because many people get them confused. My main goal from the beginning was always to inform. I believe you should always research the facts and make a decision from there. Anyway, hope I've cleared some things up.

You should've had a series of 3. The second dose 1 month after the first injection and for the third dose, 6 months after. If you did all 3 then I think you're good. They will just need your immunization record showing you received all 3. If you don't have proof or don't remember where you got it from, they'll ask you for a titer showing you have antibodies for it.
Guess what!! I didn't get in, I got an email instead of a call that I didn't get accepted into their program. I backed up this school all the way!!! I have an LVN license and taken college courses with good grades and high teas score and CNI still did not accept me. My rep and DON said "it's a tough decision" Uhmmm, Hello!!! i need details! So now I question this college on how they choose students and what's their selection criteria. Well I guess God is good, there must be a reason why I didn't get accepted to this school... I'm starting to believe what other people say about this school, no offense, but I think there's racism going on in this college!!!

CCNE is only for Bachelors and Masters programs. So no, their ADN program is not CCNE or NLNAC.
