Hello,

New to this site and im excited about it, it looks like a very helpful site. I would like to know who out there is thinking about or already applied to the LPN Program at Wilbur Wright College in Chicago to start this Spring 2014? And if so, Did you take the required but feared:no: Teas V test? and what did you get? I'm nervous about it.

@mscoleman78,

I'm taking my TEAS the end of this month and hoping to get accepted for the Spring 15, was it hard?? did you have a hard time w/the test in general?? I'm dreading Math/Science portion, and is it multiple choice?? I'm studying the TEAS Manual right now, but I just want to be prepared for it and not get a low score. What do you recommend? And would you be going for the Spring 15??

Hey earroyo56,

I am currently on the same educational path that you are on. I'm apllying for the Spring 15' program also....as soon as the teas is available.......Don't freak out about the teas test. If you don't do well the first time you always will have another chance to retake it. Good Luck;)

Hi jaturner1!!! So glad to hear from a future classmate! Did you already take your Teas? I know I'm waiting for those teas to be available I believe they told me it would be until about October 10, guess it gives us time to study. Are you planning on going for your RN to?

Hey earroyo56!!!!

I'm waiting to take the teas exam also. My plan is to complete the LPN and apply for the completion R.N. program. I am going to work for about a couple of months then get my B.S.N online.......I'm just ready to start the program. But if I don't get in the L.P.N program for Spring 15'. Then I am going to apply for the R.N program.

@earroyo56,

I just studied the Teas V book from back to front because those are going to be the actual style of questions on the test. The first timd I really did not study and I got a 50% and the second time I think I studied for 3 weeks and I got a 62%. I will not be applying again because I am currently enrolled in ATS, another LPN school downtown. Best of Luck and I hope you get accepted!!!!!!

Yes, that's my plan too....I know I hear RN is not going to be sufficient in the near future. But BSN is definitely better for our future. Do you have all your req's for RN program?? I need to finish Bio 227, chemistry and Microbiology. Other than that I have all other ones done. I hope we both get in, will definitely be posting my grade once I take the TEAS! Until then let's just keep studying and hopefully we go over the required percentage to be considered for the program! Good luck to us! :)

Really? Are all the questions multiple choices though? I'm studying it right now...didn't do too well in the Science portion when I did the practice test, so I'm focusing on that since I did pretty good in the other areas. I'm taking allot of the practice tests available online to help me figure out what I can focus on, but it's just nerve wrecking. Thank you so much for your input though I will keep studying the manual then and do my best when it's time to take the test...which won't be until Oct! :no: Hopefully I get accepted into Spring 15 program if not I'm just going to take my last pre req and apply for the RN program in the Fall 15.

@earroyo56,

Yes, all of the questions are multiple choice questions and if you honestly study that book you will do well on the actual exam. Don't worry it sounds like you have a pretty solid plan and I am sure you will do just fine. Good Luck and keep us posted!!!!!!!

@earroyo56 Teas was ok!!!!!!! Just Like Mscoleman78 said just study that book and you will do fine...... Good Luck!!!!!!

Hi, I just tookl my Teas yesterday at Wright college, got a 63!!! I'm disappointed as I really think I should've done better, but nonetheless I have applied for the LPN program for the Spring and am hoping I get a response in December. Hope I'm one of the lucky ones!!! :yes:

Earroyo56,

With that score, your GPA, and Pre-reqs that you have taken, you should be fine. Don't be disappointed because that test is pretty hard, but Good Job and Good Luck!!!!! Keep us posted "when" you get in:-)

Thanks @mscoleman78, it was harder than I expected. But I'm hoping it works out and I am qualified to start in the spring. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Thank God that December is so close to us! Can't wait! But if things don't work out, I always have Plan B! Wait until the Fall 15 to apply for that semester. Hope your program is going well, I'm thinking on maybe researching other schools for LPN program, any you might recommend?
