Anyone Applying to Midwestern Spring 2011

Can anyone tell me a little about the application process for the Spring 2011 program. The deadline is September 30. I am wanting to know if everything needs to be complete and GPA calculations need to be finished on the Nursing CAS website, or if that is just the cutoff to start the application. I have everything in, and transcripts are there, but do not think my GPA has been verified yet.

hello everybody......is anybody applying for bsn program? i am confused to fill out the application and finally i did it with the help of my friend but i can not submit my application because there is a form say "designations " ( i believe i have to choose school but midwestern state university is not on the list). i dont know what to do right now and the due date is on sep 30.... please guys i need help from you.....

had the same problem i emailed them at they walked me through step by step on what i should do worked perfectly!!! here is what they said below:

you cannot designate midwestern state because you have incorrectly completed

your application. midwestern state university only offers undergraduate level

programs (bsn and entry level masters programs are considered undergrad ) but

you have chosen that you are applying to graduate level programs.

please go into the my profile section and change your answer from yes to no for

the following question,

"are you applying to a graduate level nursing program?"

once you have revised your my profile section, you will be able to designate

midwestern state.

Not only do they have to get the transcripts on time but also process them as well. After everything is said and done Im going to provide Midwestern with some feedback because I believe this is the first time they have used NursingCas.
Make sure that you put all you course work in correctly because if not they will return your application and you have to RESUBMIT! This is not a good thing if it happens to close to the deadline.

What exactly is the course work section for? The classes that I am currently taking? Or all the courses I have taken while in college.

And this NursingCAS is really frustrating they still have NOT put in my transcripts and the deadline is thursday. I sent them off about 2 weeks ago!!!

Gone, the course work section is where you list all the classes you have ever taken and classes that you are currently taking. Everything on your transcripts should go in the course work section. When NursingCas gets your transcripts they cross reference the data you put under the course work section. If it does not match they request that you make correction.

Agm3, As long as you have completed your application, paid the fee and requested your transcripts you should be fine. Dont worry abou the GPA thing. It takes a few weeks for NursingCas to complete that part and Midwestern told me that they dont use their GPA anyway.

I hope that I was able to help. This is my first time doing the whole nursing app thing so please correct me if any of my info is incorrect. I hope that we all get accepted. The waiting game begins! Good Luck!

I checked my application status today. It said "decision: accepted." Does that just mean accepted into the school or accepted into the school and the nursing program?

Midwestern State sent me a letter with login and password info to their website to check application status. It was on https://portal.mwsu.edu:9040/pls/PROD/bwskalog.P_DispLoginNon

I think that may just be for the admission to the college. From what I understand about the acceptance into the nursing program is they have to go through all applicants and rank them, then meet with a board over applications. Good luck to you!!

Im sooo nervous! This wait is going to kill me and to think that it has only just begun. I wonder how many applications they received? Does anyone know how many they usually get each application period?

I called this morning and they received 250 applications but not all 250 were complete... I can not remember if she said that they are accepting 80 or 88 students.
