Hi to everybody !!!

Last year, I applied at Assabet Valley LPN program but I could get in because I applied late and they had a waiting list, which i didnt know about it. So this year I'm trying to get it done asap with the applications and I decided to apply everywhere possible and cheaper , such like Assabet valley LPN, Greater Lowell LPN, Shwasheen LPN, NSCC LPN, Roxbury cc, anything LPN.... Is anyone applying just like in LPN programs ? Did anyone graduate from those programs? Please let me know which one are the best among those and which one has a waiting list, so let me not waisted my time...I did the TEAS V too and I fullfilled the assabet scores but now every school just required to take the test at their own site (that sucks 4 real)

P.S: please I'm looking for a good website where i can find best stories or statement about the famous questions "why do you want to become a nurse", english isn't my first language so I need some good arguments in english because essays are timely administrate.

thanks dear, keep in touch

TEAS | Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School

Below, please find information on how to get into the program.

If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact Kelly Meredith, PN Program Secretary 508-248-5971 x 1674.

The Admission Process

The Practical Nursing Program is an intense and competitive program. The program is a 40-week, 10-month, full-time, Monday through Friday, evening program that will prepare graduates for the NCLEX-PN licensure exam. Upon program completion graduates will receive a Certificate in Practical Nursing. Practical Nurses are prepared for careers in a variety of heath care settings including extended care facilities, clinics, physician offices, hospitals, and community health agencies.

Admission Requirements are competitive and space is limited. No one evaluation tool is used to determine admission. Students who meet the MINIMUM admission criteria are evaluated against the entire group of qualified applicants.

STEP 1

Register for the TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) Entrance Test.

The first step for admissions is to fill out the entrance form in its entirety, sign you have read and understood requirements and rules, and return with the payment to the Practical Nursing department here at Bay Path. There is a $85 non-refundable, non-transferable, testing fee with a $25 returned check fee. Students may not reschedule or transfer funds.

STEP 2

Take the TEAS Entrance Test on the scheduled date.

Each student is required to take and complete the TEAS Entrance Test here at Bay Path during the admission's period (September-May). Reading, English, Math, and Science are the areas of concern of the exam.

The minimum acceptable TEAS scores are:

Reading at or above 61.9%

Math at or above 50%

English at or above 53.3%

TEAS Review Book - ISBN # 9781565335646

ATI TEAS STUDY MANUAL SIXTH EDITION

The official TEAS preparation material to prepare you for health care education success.

STEP 3

Start the application process. Only when the candidate meets the minimum acceptable TEAS scores above.

Once a student has met the minimum test scores for the TEAS Entrance Exam he or she will be sent an Application Packet to complete. It is the student's responsibility to complete the applications packet in its entirety, and return all requested documents to the Practical Nursing Office by the deadline.

STEP 4

Complete an Interview.

Once the Practical Nursing office has received all requested information. The student will start the second step of the application process where a brief interview will be conducted. The interview is very similar to a job interview.

STEP 5

Acceptance.

Of those qualified students those whose TEAS scores, transcripts, references, writing sample, and interview demonstrate the greatest chance for success in the program will be admitted. When qualifications are equal, first consideration is given to student's in-district, and graduates of Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School. During this step it is recommended the student starts organizing his or her medical and financial documentation.

After you've completed the entire application process and have been accepted into the program, you will be notified about orientation. Orientation is mandatory, last about four hours, and takes place in JUNE before classes begin in the middle of August.

Once a candidate is accepted,

Financial Aid is available through SallieMae. And Financial Aid is available through Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Last year I applied to Bunker Hill CC for the RN program. Was sadly denied but got a call from them within a month about their LPN program. They had a lot of spots left after the deadline and were trying to fill them. I'm assuming you might have luck there.
