Anyone applying to Gordon's Nursing Porgram Spring 2011?

Published

Hello everyone :)

I have applied to Gordon College's nursing program for spring 2011. I was just wondering if anyone else on here applied there. I'd really like to share this waiting experience with someone else and maybe create some friendships before we (hopefully) begin the program together. I'm really excited now that my application is in and I just have to wait for the decision letter to come. I look forward to hearing from everyone :)

Yes, I have applied. They won't even be looking at the applications until after August 1st. I'm kinda worried because i'm a transfer student and I applied to go to the school fall 10. Things changed and I decided to go to Clayton. I'm still accepted to gordon but do you think that I can still be accepted? I hear a lot of bad stories about transfer students

I am kinda the same way because I was also accepted for fall 2010. I'm not a transfer student though. I have been there for 2 years now. If you got in already being a transfer student then I dont see why you would have a problem getting in again. I have read a few things on here about them not accepting many transfer students but I cant say for certain if thats how they really do everything down at Gordon. I hope that you get in though! You already got in once so it shouldnt be hard the second time :)

I should have made myself clear. I was accepted to the school for fall 10 but not the actual program. But I won't be attending the school for fall 10...ill be taking some pre reqs for claytons program in the fall. I'm not sure if gordon accepts students to their nursing program if they don't attend the school a semester before the program. I heard only 1 or 2 transfer students! Which is not a good chance at all.

wow I heard like 5 or 6.. but i definitely misunderstood. I dont see why you would have to go there for a semester first. Theyre website talks about just being accepted to the school as a requirement.

Does anyone know the average GPA and TEA's test scores for getting accepted into the program ??? Does anyone under a 3.0 GPA have a chance ??? I just applied. I have been at Gordon for 2 years. They told me they would have a decision in about 8 to 12 weeks.

Hello everyone,

I just applied to the nursing program for the spring. I am a transfer student, but I was there in the spring, and tool both of my A&P's this summer. I have a 3.29 GPA at Gordon, no C's except from my previous institution in College Algebra. I have my TEAS test was an 83, and I took it last Monday. I am currently takin Micro and History 2112 this fall, I dropped it last spring, cause Dr. Parsons was a crazy betch... Does anyone know how man spaces are available for the spring, and how many applicants? Also in regards to transfer students, does that apply to those who would have been there for almost a year?

I would love to hear of other people experiences and knowledge in regards to the Admisssions process, waiting is going to be heck!!!

Dixie02-07, I know several people who have applied and been accepted with a 2.6-2.8 GPA. So yes I think there is a good chance you will get in...

thanks sowhat105, i'm def. keeping my fingers crossed:)

I went to talk to the advisor at gordon and she said that a 3.1 is competitive and that's close to below a 3.0. It depends on how low your gpa is. She also said that they don't keep admission statistics. So as far as the gpa and teas scores. I'm not sure. What is your gpa ?

Has anyone heard when the letters will be going out ??
