Hello,
I just sent off my application for Drexel, Excela Health, Villanova, and Frank J. Tornetta School of Anesthesia for their 2013 class. I was really surprised how early they were taking applications for 2013 but since they do rolling admissions, I guess it's more of a first come first served basis if you meet the criteria. I was told they have already filled the seats for their 2012 class already. I am so excited. The program coordinators and directors from all 4 programs were very nice on the phone and very encouraging. I am applying to the Post-Masters Anesthesia program since I have my MSN in Nursing Education. I was told the schools will conduct interviews in the spring (2011). I was told if you were called for an interview, it indicates a very good chance you would be accepted into the program. I am so nervous. Is anyone else applying for the 2013 class at these schools?
In 2012, I am planning to apply to East Carolina, University of Maryland, St. Mary's University in Minnesota, and SUNY at Buffalo. The good thing is that these schools are not close to taking applications for 2013, which allows me to set aside the money for the application fees, which quickly add up. Some anesthesia programs that are at hospitals require you to pay an application fee to them as well as the University they are affiliated with also.
It would be nice to hear from other potential applicants for 2013.
Hi Everybody,
Just got my official acceptance letter to Drexel University Nurse Anesthesia program. I have accepted the offer. Will be starting in January 2013 class. I am so excited. I wish everybody luck on their journey to admission. I still have an interview with Villanova and Tornetta in May and I am trying to decide if I should still go or not since I paid an awful lot for the application fees. Should I or shouldn't I since I know for sure I will be attending Drexel's program. One of the other students that interviewed the same day I did also got into the program. I know they have another round of interviews in June for the Jan 2013 class as well. Good luck everybody.
Congratulations on your acceptance at Drexel University! You should be very proud as it is a major accomplishment to be accepted into a crna program. I also applied for a January 2013 start at Drexel and have an interview next week! I am extremely nervous/excited and was just wondering if you could give me any words of wisdom regarding the interview process. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
AirForceRN,
Congratulations on your acceptance into the CRNA program at Drexel University! Also, thank you for all of your informative and positive posts. I also applied to Drexel for a January 2013 start and have an interview next week! I am nervous/excited at the possibility of attending Drexel...especially after all of the positive things you had to say about the program and faculty. I was wondering if you had any words of wisdom for me regarding the interveiw process. Any information would be extremely helpful. Thanks and congratulations!

Sorry I haven't responded to your messages. The site won't let me send private messages until I have posted more than 15 responses on the site...which I haven't had the time to do. I did just recently receive an acceptance email from Drexel. Not sure what took them so long...but regardless was very excited to get it. I hope you received some good news as well! Good luck!
