Hi all~
I am planning on applying to brookhaven/mountain view or elcentro... Whichever I get into this coming spring. I was just wondering if anyone was going to take classes this summer for the sub requirement classes patho/dosage. And if anyone had any advice for applying... or on the HESI.
Thanks:thankya:

Hi I'm currently doing my prereqs and support courses at Eastfield. I'll have to transfer to Brookhaven in Spring of '10 to finish some of the support courses b/c Eastfield does'nt offer them. I will be applying to the Brookhaven/Mountain Veiw program for the Fall of '10...good luck to you!!!!
Good Luck to you too!! If I don't get accepted in spring I'll be reapplying in fall! I went to eastfield too, and graduated with a A.S. (before I knew I wanted to do nursing.) and I was taking all of my prereq's there too, it sucks that they don't have all of them. I am taking the 3 prereq rnsg classes this summer at mountain view.. because brookhaven was only offering one and it filled up so fast. Have you taken the HESI A2 yet? I haven't but idk if you know that el centro has a prep class, I was thinking about taking it, it is under the continuing education schedule.

Hi :) I am starting the Brookhaven program this Fall and the advice I would give you is to take all the support courses you can and whenever you have your pre-req's go ahead and apply to get your 3 review points. It is very competitive and I think the lowest was 28 something that got in. It really boils down to the HESI, so really prepare for the exam because the higher you get there the more points you will have. Here is a link that could help you out:

I used this and I also purchased the study guide that the HESI site offers and they were very helpful. I hope this helps you out and I wish you the very best. Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.
Thanks MARA0523 for the study guide, I will have every prereq done by july except the hprs death and dying class. So i am hoping if i do really well on the hesi that it will be ok! Congrats on getting in for fall!!! I am registered for the prep class at el centro so hopefully that helps me out ya know? Goodluck in school!!!

I do have another question... I have seen some other posts on the website that say the study guide didn't really cover the A&P section of the HESI is that what you thought? Do you recommend buying A&P for dummies too?
Thanks again for letting me hit you up for questions... I really appreciate it.

Yeah A&P wasn't on that web-site for HESI but I purchased the HESI study guide online and that helped with the vocabulary portion (I found that the vocabulary in that section are the words to study) and it also gives you the guidelines on what to study for A&P, I can't locate the site anymore but I think you can buy it at the school bookstore. Hope this helps!
