In reading a lot of the forums, I really haven't found one pertaining to those of us applying to Chemeketa Community College. Are you out there? Tell us how your experience is going? Any letters yet?
So the curiousity is killing me... What kind of info did the acceptance letters have? Any books lists, supply lists, orientation info, etc.
Hopefully I will be getting the "acceptance" letter or phone call soon, but until then I would love to know what those that got accepted were told in their letters.
All of the above. It has dates listed with requirements such as immunizations, CPR, etc. Include is a huge book list (10 required and 3 optional for NUR106), uniform requirements, etc. Just a date to keep in mind is Sept 18 which is the all-day orientation. Keep it completely open just in case you get in. People have until July 28th to accept their slot. They are one of the last schools to notify so hopefully a lot of other accepted students have chosen other schools by now. Keep me posted.
Thanks for the heads up about September 18th. I agree that my chances seem pretty good considering that so many people have sent out multiple applications.
Two more questions though:
What are the uniform requirements?
If you have some time would you PM me with the book lists. I would love to start pricing them as early as possible. (Info on 10 books could take a bit of your time so if it isn't possible, no worries. Hopefully I will be getting my own acceptance info very soon)
I haven't even been accepted, but I am excited to be so darn close!

AAAGH! I made the #2 alternate spot! With a 310 score. Can you believe that?! I am thinking my chances are pretty good though that atleast two people will not be able to attend.
This must have meant that after the 315'ers (alternates from last year) they must have gotten down to drawing from a hat fairly quickly because I would have beaten out the first two tie-breakers (BI231 grade & Chemeketa area resident) and then it would have been down to random selection.
I also made the alternate list for OHSU's Monmouth BSN program so it would be really nice if I found out that I was a for-sure in one of the two programs. For now I guess I have to still play the waiting game a little longer.
Congrats to all that did make it in to Chemeketa. And for those that didn't, just hang in there. Keep trying. It WILL happen.
