Anyone applying to Charles Drew ELMSN track for spring 2015?

Published

Hi,

Just on here to see if anyone is applying to Charles Drew ELMSN this upcomming Spring 2015? I will be attending this program in January 2015 and am a little excited. If there are any graduates or current students attending, is it possible if you can share your experiences there? What are some red flags we should look out for and any advice would be very helfpul! :) Im glad this site came about so we can all come together and share our experiences through this journey. Thank you so much!

They sent my letter out two days ago. I actually havent gotten the letter in the mail. But I happened to call last week, and the admissions department told me the decision over the phone. The letter should probably be in my mailbox today

Oh wow, I was never offered an interview so I'm not sure that's a good sign. Did every applicant interview? I'll definitely check the mail today! ahhh! thanks for replying!

I GOT IN!!! So happy! Sending positive vibes your way!

omg!! congratulations! I am so jealous. Do you mind telling me how you scored on the GRE? How did you do in your science pre req classes i.e.: anatomy, physio, and micro. Also, How were your grades for your undergraduate degree? I am REALLY curious, to hear from a fellow student who just got in. Thank you!

Thank you! :) My GRE scores were average (I really don't think they weigh this too much or at all, so I wouldn't worry too much about the score). I had a 4.0 in all the prereqs and my overall undergrad BS GPA was a 3.2. Are you still on the waitlist?

Yes I am in, sorry thought I posted last week! So excited! I will be taking the HESI exam on 11/12. As for the GRE I scored in the low average 147/151. My undergrad GPA was below 3.0 my pre reqs and grad GPA last 4 years was 3.75. What are your plans between now and the program start?

Congrats!!!! :) should we start a Facebook group soon? haha I also scheduled my HESI exam already. I bought a couple of review books on Amazon to review. I'll be working until the program starts, how about you?

Super congrats!!! Yes, the FB page sounds great! I had been studying for the TEAS the past few months so, I think I am as ready as can be, or just sick of studying. I will be finishing a few grad courses (Cultural Diversity, Research Methodology) I plan to transfer for the theory portion of our program but, I am still waiting on the final approval. I am also signed up for Education Portal Online- pathophysiology self study course to prepare for Patho. The course isn't transferable since its undergrad level but I figure it will at least prepare me some. Maybe we can do some review sessions for the HESI if you are open to that... ;)

did you take the HESI? I got accepted to Drew, and I am suppose to start Jan 12 for entry level masters. I found out last minute, and now have to take the HESI asap. What sections were on the test? do you remember? Also, what score did you have to get to pass? The school has been closed for the holidays, so I can't get this information from anyone. I hope you can help me :)

Thanks!
