Hello all,

I wanted to know who all is planning on applying to the accelerated program at Winston Salem State starting in Jan 2012. I'm taking my pre reqs now and if anyone that has graduated or currently in the program has any tips that would be wonderful.

Thanks,

David

Well, I haven't gotten an email yet either...I'm a WSSU alumni...I have a 3.8 GPA and all As in pre-reqs, so hopefully I'll hear something soon....

Thanks for the post!! I'm not going to get bummed...I know whatever happens is for a reason. It's in God's hands...thanks for the information :)

You are so right. If God wants a place for you there, He will put you there!

hey ya all...i just called them and they said all email are out and those who have not recieved any email were not accepted....

i also did not get in. congrats to all who got in. i am a little bit surprised that riturathee16 could not get in.

i m really feeling depressed now...i dont know what is the reason...

Congrats again to the ones who were accepted. I guess it's for the best...because I really want to work in L&D and Baptist doesn't have that department. Looks like I'll be at FTCC in January. Good luck to you guys. Keep us updated with how the program is. Don't let it stress you guys out...you can do it! :rckn:

Obviosly they just dont select the people with the best records automatically. Heck...they may even just accept the first 45 who meet minimum standards in the stack....from the sounds of it here.

it is rediculous...one more year wasted...what to do know...?

Kenthomas...there must have been well over 45 who were qualified with good grades. It may have come down to the first 45 on the qualified stack...unfortunately for you and I we weren't lucky enough to be on the top of the stack. Well at least for me because I'm almost positive that I put my email on the application. I'll let you know for sure when I get the "bad news" letter.

riturathee16...I'm sorry, I'm right there with you. WSSU was obviously my first choice but I applied to some local community colleges for nursing as well. I am going to get my ADN then do the RN-MSN bridge. Good luck to you...keep us updated.

You can read here where people said they were accepted, and go back and look at their old posts and see that they had a 2.97 and two c's in prereqs. Who knows....maybe they they have certain male/female and race ratios they have to match. Oh well...life is not fair very often. Its what you do following a disappointment that defines you. We gotta keep it movin;).

yeah..i am also looking for some ADN program now. I am really disappointed, with all pre reqs with A's and Only one with B and 3.89 gpa i was not in...it sucks...
