I got my letter from Newman a couple of weeks ago. Good Luck.

Thanks! I did get my Newman interview letter on Dec. 17th. Whew...I was getting a bit nervous there! Congrats on your interview! And good luck!!

What did you think of Newman? I'm applying this Dec (09) for it. Any tips for the interview?

My interview with Newman isn't until the 30th of this month, so I do not have any insight as of now. I have heard it is a fairly difficult interview where your clinical knowledge is tested fairly extensively (not unlike many schools). I have also heard they are not the friendliest, most upbeat kind of interview panel. These are just things I've heard over time. I guess I will find out myself on the 30th! All that being said, I have heard Newman is an excellent school, which is primarily why I'm applying there. Good luck to you!!

Good luck in the interview, let us know how it went!

I interviewed there a couple of years ago.

It wasn't the worst interview but it wasn't the best. They do ask some clinical questions. They ask you to present a patient that you have dealt with in your ICU and they go from there.

they do ask some morality questions- like would you report a cheating classmate. I can't say they were unfriendly- they were just nonchalant.

Overall the whole interview process wasn't anything to write home about. It was like most of the other places I interviewed at.

Good luck.

I just interviewed at Newman on Monday 1/19/09. First of 55 to be interviewed so I guess that can be good or bad. Took just over 30 minutes and I really felt good about it immediately after. However, on the three hour trip home and there since, I feel like I probably sounded like a babbling idiot!! All of my CRNA friends say that it's completely normal to feel this way as everyone usually does. Sort of makes me feel better although only cautiously optimistic now!!
