Hi,
I sent my application off a few weeks ago for the LVN-RN bridge at LA County College of nursing. I have not even taken the TEAS test yet, and I am already anxious about having to wait to find out if I get accepted.
If I pass the TEAS with 75% or above I will have 85 points. Has anyone else applied for the 2012 summer entry?

I think you're going to be fine. They said at the information meeting that the point cut-off for the bridge program is generally lower than for the generic RN option. The last group's point cut-off for the bridge was 76 and the speaker said it usually hangs right around there.
Thanks for the reply, you just made my day! I was not able to make it to the information session and was assuming that if anything, the points needed for the bridge program would be higher than the 2 year program. Now I just have to wait for the letter in the mail to find out if I got in. Did you apply too?

Hi, did you already take the TEAS? At the test we were told that LVN-RN's would find out by mid-April. Good luck!

Hello! I'm really interested in this school as well, But someone told me that they put a freeze on applications, is that true? Also how long has the process been to finish your pre reqs and application to the school?

When I was working registry for LA County I did hear there was a freeze on applications but that may have been just a freeze on the deal they have for current LADHS employees where they get preference and can work 20 hours a week but get paid for 40.

There is no application freeze that I'm aware of, unless you are referring to the application deadline (which was February 15th for Summer 2012 LVN-RN applicants). I personally know two LVNs who applied to the Summer program and are (anxiously!) awaiting to hear if they were accepted.
The school's website explains the application process, lists the pre-req's, and has contact information:
