Hi there...I also applied to the Communiveristy program. I took my Hesi on the 18th....I'm sure you did also by now. I got a cumulative score of 88. I'm hoping that that's enough.
Anyway...a friend of mine applied with me and she just got her rejection letter Saturday. Since no mail on Sunday, I'm hoping to get an acceptance letter today....we'll see.
As far as I know, they're accepting about 25 students. There are 2 or 3 students from the last cohort that had to drop for various reasons and didn't pass so they're re-doing the program. From what I understand it's very intense.
As far as the faculty goes, most of them are from Seton Hall. I had thought of applying there last year, but just couldn't justify the cost. the program director for program, the program director for Communiversity, and the program assistant are all from Seton Hall. Apparently Seton Hall's program was a little unorganized and not doing so well, so they all wanted to start a better accelerated program. (This is here-say of course)
The teachers are supposed to be excellent and really helpful. And from the little contact I've had with staff over the phone, I've been pleased with how helpful they've been.
Good luck and let me know if you get in!!!
Yeah!! I got my acceptance letter yesterday. Still waiting to hear on what needs to be done before program starts, exact tuition and when its due, and start date, but at least a letter's something!! Hopefully the other info comes soon so I can make my decision. They're definitely waiting until the last minute.
Has anyone else applied to NJCU for accel bsn program starting at the communiversity in May '08?Have you heard anything from the school regarding your application? I've heard that some have received letters regarding the HESI entrance exam, but I haven't received anything yet.
Also, what do you know about the school, the teachers, accredidation process since it is a new program?
Can you tell me some information about the NJCI Hesi. What is on the test and how do you prepare for it?
