HI guys-
At the LTC where i work, there is an incentive program to get nurse aides to become med techs and nurses at the facility. They will pay for your school and books IF you sign a contract that you will work there for X amount of years. To become a med tech takes 1 semester and you sign up for 1 year service. For nursing you sign up for 5 years. Now I'm already going to school for nursing(i start in the fall or spring in actual nursing courses) and i get full financial aide so i wouldn't purse that contract, but does anyone think it would be a good idea to go for CMT school? I'll be in school for 2 years in nursing anyways, so the work would be easier while in school.
Is anyone here a CMT, or does your facility offer these contracts? are they more trouble than they are worth?
Any help would be appreciated.
