Anyone accepted to Duke's ABSN program in the past year or 2?

I'm curious too! I applied for Fall 2010 admission to Duke's ABSN program. I've got a 3.5 gpa in Biology from my undergrad and I got an 1110 on the GRE. I only studied for a week, so I debated whether I should try again. Someone at Duke told me that I probably don't need to retake it. They've been debating the idea of not requiring the GRE at all, but I don't know the latest on what they decided.

Anyone accepted or applying with info on what's competitive, please post!

Hey Carolina11! Your GPA and GRE are similar to mine... your GPA is actually a little higher though. No bueno! I feel like I have other things that may redeem myself but that's why I was throwing this out there, to see if others who got in maybe did poorly on those 2 things like I did but have other stuff to offer. I have submitted my application and am waiting on everyone to write their letters for me. Where else did you apply besides Duke? If I don't get into Duke I'm just going to go to Wake Tech and then do the online ADN - BSN program while I work as a nurse. I REALLY want to go to Duke though... on the other hand, if I don't get in I'll save $50K. lol But that's just my silver lining in case I have to go to Wake Tech :)

I also applied to UNC and am waiting to hear back about admissions for Jan 2010. Duke has a wonderful program and I'd love to go there too. I think they said they'd start doing interviews in Jan/Feb... Best of luck to you!
