I'm still researching stethoscopes and haven't made a purchase yet. That would be great if you could post a review after receiving yours! I look forward to reading it. I'm afraid to buy a pricey Littman only to have it become lost or stolen. It would be heard to identify among the sea of others. Purchasing a less popular stethoscope would not only save us money but make it easier to locate!
Thanks!
I've owned a couple of Littmanns myself and was introduced to the GRX CD27 last year and I still love it. Sound quality is excellent, probably only topped by the Master Cardiology (which has a bigger diaphragm and better isolating single-head). I'm still amazed at the construction quality of this scope for its price. Since it looks virtually identical to the Cardiology III, be careful of unscrupulous hands (especially for people who replace it with Littmann diaphragms). A word of thanks to CNA_Timmy, he'd found out that GRX is now offering the CD27 at the promotion price on Ebay again. If you're thinking about buying one, go on Ebay, search for seller GRXMEDICAL, under items: Cardiology III Stethoscope (it won't be posted as CD27). It's so tempting at this price...hehe.
I bought one off of Ebay too, for the price I feel I have nothing to loose. I expect delivery tomorrow or Monday and so I will post when I get it. I am no expert as I am just starting NS in a few weeks and so I only have used the junky school ones we used in Anatomy and Physiology and soprobably wont be much help but I will try!!

Yup they will send you whatever you want! The one I bought said it was black in the auction but in my payment details I requested a different color and they sent me the one I wanted.
I paid for it sometime Tuesday and it arrived on Sat. so that wasn't bad all the way from Az to NY!
I wish I knew more about what I should be hearing so that I could review the sound quality for you in more detail...but I don't start school until August.
I CAN tell you that I can hear sounds with it that I didn't hear with the crappy school ones we used in A&P...

Don't laugh, but my son had a well visit today and so I took my cd-27 to the peds office with me. After she checked him all out and such I asked her if she would try out my new steth and give me her opinion.
She actually really really liked it. She actually seemed suprised at how well it worked. She listened to my heart and had me do some deep breathing and she said she could hear better with it than some of the ones the nurses she knows use and the quality and sound of it were very comparable to her Littmann.
Just wanted to let yas know!

I have only seen a couple of reviews for this stethoscope. Is there anyone else out there who owns this scope or knows someone who does? I am considering this over the Littmans. Any feedback?
TIA
