ANybody recieved interviews for CSULB spring 2011?

Published

Hi, I was told by an acquaintance that interview invitations for spring 2011 BSN will handed out by september 20th.

THis does seem kind of early, but I haven't heard back from CSULB at all and so I was wondering when the interviews are. The CSULB lady has been very busy and hasn't gotten back to me.

Does anybody know if interview invitations have already been handed out for fall 2010 admissions?

Thanks!!!!

hi everyone. has anyone ordered all of their books already?? all i've ordered was the package from the elsevier website. what other books did we need??

hey :]

if you go to my csulb (this might not work if you're a transfer student) you can see the my textbooks link that takes you to the bookstore and shows all the books we need. there are like 5 others listed not in the box. i haven't ordered them yet, but they are there if you want to look. i'm really confused about it cause i thought the elsevier woman said there was no (either patho or pharm) book and yet it says there are both.

Hey everyone! I'm an alternate for spring 2011 and I was wondering if any other alternates have received their status as of now for the spring semester. I haven't got any emails notifying me of my current status :/ Any info will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks :)

I'm an alternate also. And I have been visiting the office for a couple days now with the same answer,

"It could be any time this month." I'll check back later today at lunch. What number are you btw?

Oh ok, thanks Bcho86! :) I'm just anxious to know what number they're on right now. I was thinking of sending out an email to Monalisa with the same question to see if she could give me any input. I'm alternate 4 :/ How about you??

thank you lallen1231. :)

GenB88 and Bcho86, I was alternate #2, and I was barely notified last week that I had gotten into the program. I never got my letter, but the admissions coordinator believed she had sent it before she went off for xmas vacation. You guys might already be in, but the letter may not have gotten to you guys. It'd be best to call/email the admissions coordinator to make sure.

Thanks for the advice nnoch001 and Congrats! :) Did you end up calling the admissions coordinator last week to find out? I sent her an email today so hopefully she'll respond soon.

I sent her an email. Sometimes she responds quick, like within the same day you email her. She actually took a couple of days to get back to me when she said I got in.

Good luck to all!

I'm alternate #8. She was rather rude when I asked about my status saying, that I would need to take out a bus load of kids before I can get in. I sent her emails many times and have never received a response. I asked her:

1. Since I have completed both my Bio 200 (Pharmacology), and Bio 160 (Pathophysiology) series this recent semester at Goldenwest College,* would the Nursing Department like them on record?

2. I am waiting for the confirmation as an alternate nursing student, what does the department recommend me to do while I wait? (ex. other classes) What have other students done in the past?

I don't like how LB leaves their alternates behind with any notice. What is everyones plan B?

I'm sorry that you haven't been getting much help from the nursing department. The waiting game really isn't fun. I don't think it would hurt you to send them a copy of your final transcripts to get your classes counted. And is the confirmation you're referring to the official letter from the nursing department that says what number alternate you are? I've read that some alternates show up to the class on the first day cuz some students don't show up. At the nursing orientation, the staff said some alternates might not find out till the first week of February.

How long does the alternate list last?
