Hi, I was told by an acquaintance that interview invitations for spring 2011 BSN will handed out by september 20th.
THis does seem kind of early, but I haven't heard back from CSULB at all and so I was wondering when the interviews are. The CSULB lady has been very busy and hasn't gotten back to me.
Does anybody know if interview invitations have already been handed out for fall 2010 admissions?
Thanks!!!!
nnoch001, last time I called them they said I was #10, so i don't see any chancehow about yours?
i was told i was #4, but that was before the alternate list was finalized. so i'm not really sure now if i'm still #4, or if i'm farther down the list. i called today and the nursing admissions coordinator said we should be getting a letter today or tomorrow.

hello nnoch001, she told me the same thing, and I received the letter today. My number is #10,I had a little hope since we are asked to attend orientation. by any chance do you know how many people are in the alternate list...if its only 10 then I don't think i have any chance.
oh i have no idea how many people are on the alternate list. apparently there can be more than 10 people though. i'm assuming it's anyone who was interviewed but just didn't have enough points to get in. the admissions coordinator said about 110 were interviewed, so that means about 20+ people are alternates since some people didn't have to go through an interview.
Do nurse dept decide if you are in basic or trimester before the orientation or do we choose at the orientation? I got a letter saying Basic BSN program. is that mean i'm not gonna have chance to get a trimester?
Basic BSN program just means undergraduate nursing. You get to decide during orientation if you want two or three years. If too many people select the three year (I forgot, but I think more people wanted the three year), then a random draw will be held to determine who will have to give up their spot and be in the two year. It's all based on space accommodation. Also, many people get confused about "accelerated" and "basic" because other nursing programs say "accelerated". Even though ours say "basic" it's still considered "accelerated" from what I hear.
hi everyone. i was wondering if we need to have all of the health requirements (immunizations, titers, etc.) completed by dec. 10th?? i just barely got my letter about my alternate status a couple of days before thanksgiving, so this doesn't really leave me much time to get all my stuff done before orientation.
want to become nurse
