Hey,
I lived in the Orlando area for years and got my ADN at Valencia. In my opinion and experience it's better to get your BSN. Yes there are quie a few hospital facilities in Orlando and I have worked for a few of them and they all want new grads with BSN. Your ADN will get you into nursing homes and other such areas with no problem but not in major areas like working in the ER ICU etc. when I graduated I had to work in the villages in order to get some experience. The hospitals will consider a experienced ADN nurse, that's how I got in after working at the villages hosp. If you do get hired with a hospital you will have to pursue your BSN after 1 year, so it just makes sense to go straight for the BSN...just my 2 cents
good luck

Hi everyon,
I'm wondering if I can get a job with ADN degree in Orlando area since many hospitals are not hiring ADNs anymore.
