I really was, but I am way too far away from Jersey City to make the commute. I might just do the IV Certification course that they offer. I think I am just going to start home health care, because I can't find anything else and they are training me on trach and vents, so I'm hoping that with both of those classes/certifications, I can get into a hospital. (I'm also a new grad, May '09).

I would love to but the cost is way too far out of my budget! (currently not working) I kinda feel jipped since i still owe for school to be paying 4,500 dollars more without a job guarantee. But the residency seems really good.
I think I might do it....I'm still considering it....after talking to family and friends said they would "sponsor" me since i have no money right now. I just don't know if I should take their money and what if I can't find a job after or what if I get a job offer during? I'm just so disillusioned with the job market for new grads right now in NJ...Anyone else thinking about it???
hey guys, i so want to do it too because i think it will make a huge difference between us and the other new grads but it is expensive. I am still trying to get everything together and hope i will be able to do it. And on the website they also said that they will help with job placement, it's a great opportunity. I'm also considering home health at this time, i cannot find a job and it is just sad but I'm hopeful and we all have to be, the new year will be better!!!
Which specialty are you interested in, if u were to do the program?

The program sounds great but I think you guys should call them up and see how many of the "graduates" from this program find a job and if they do find a job how long did it take them to find it. Sorry for sounding skeptical but it bothers me to think that you are giving them your time (will provide patient care) and you have to pay them. I know you get all of these certifications but at the same time most nurses get this training during orientation. In this economy it would suck to dish out $4,500 and still not be able to get a job after it. find out if they also offer job placement!!
