Anybody else tired of taking pre-reqs?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I know that we need them in order to get into the nursing program but some of them seem SOOOOOO useless! I have a Dialogue class and all we do is read this wierd book that the professor wrote himself, nobody understands it and we have to write papers on it! Sociology just seems like it's all about race (may be different at other schools idk). I like my Anatomy and learning to like my math class. Those two are the only classes I'm taking this semester that seem like they're gonna help me to be a good nurse. I just want to start my major already! Does anybody else feel or has felt this way?

I agree ^^^. It does seem like it drags out, because I'm just anxious to start the program already. I was always told that the anatomys and micro weed people out of the program...so even though it drags, it's important to do well & understand what you're learning. I've changed my majors so many times since I've graduated in 2004, until I chose nursing...so I think that's why it seems so long for me.
