Just curious if anyone is planning on applying to the program this year...
Congrats! If you could email me some pointers as well, I would really appreciate it. My email is [email protected]. Thanks
They started off the interview with personal questions like why do you want to be a CRNA, how are you emotionally and financially prepared, what will make you successful in school etc. They then talked about the unit I worked in and asked me about my typical patient, what gtts do you use the most and mechanism of action, what mode of ventilation is used most on your unit and why. Know your vents backwards and forwards...this was the only thing they really grilled me on. Then at the end they allow you to ask questions..
They said they will take 35 students maximum if they feel like they have that many qualified applicants.
You lead the interview. Don't mention anything if you aren't prepared to discuss it in detail. Study CCRN materials that pertain to your units typical patient profile. Know your hemodynamics.
Good luck to everyone interviewing!
The truth is they are going to ask questions until you can no longer answer. I.E. It is meant to see how you handle the pressure and when you say, I don't know Ill have to look that up. I was drilled more on drugs than vents. It really depends on the person. Like CCUCCRN said, don't talk about something or mention it unless your prepared to do into detail about it. Good luck.
My interview went well I think. They were pretty chatty after the interview and were discussing logistics and such with me. I didn't get an "offer" per say but feel like they wanted me. However, I have 2 interviews left to go and it's not my number one choice mostly due to geography. I may have to accept offer and then if get accepted to my number one, back out later. We will see how the cards fall.

I can't really find anything recent on what to expect. If anyone has some insight to the interview that would be awesome. Also curious as to how many people they accept a year.
