Hi Everyone,
I got accepted into D'youville College's Nursing Program for spring 2014, I have been looking all over the net including their face book page for new entrants in vain. I am a transfer student supposed to be moving from Seattle WA. I know there has to be someone out there. Please reach out. Looking to get acquainted with people before I head down there and also know what to expect. Thanks...

I just applied to this program as well. University at Buffalo is my first choice because they offer an accelerated BSN.
I have friends who are professors at d'youville (not in the Nursing Program), and it is a good school! I don't think it's very difficult to get in but don't quote me on that!

Mdbain, I hope you were successful in getting in touch with fellow students in your program. As far as the facebook page goes, the school maintains it's own facebook page just for the school, and the ones for students of the nursing programs are created by students and are private. Just be certain that you've reviewed the SON student handbook before posting on facebook as there is a social media policy. Even if your group does create a private page, don't assume the school won't find out if there are things posted on there that shouldn't be. Good Luck!
Yoyoyo, I hope you have received your acceptance letter by now. D'Youville's nursing school isn't as hard to get into as some other schools (such as UB and ECC), but don't let that be a reflection of the program.
Restlessnerd, I hope you've received an acceptance into either program. UB's ABS program is notoriously hard, but rest assured that if you were admitted to it, then they have strong faith in your ability to be successful. If you weren't accepted into the ABS or the traditional program, don't let that dissuade you. You can contact the SON to find out why you weren't accepted and use that information to increase your chances of acceptance next time.
