Any Tips on Talking with Nurse Recruiters?

Hello! I am going to be a new grad in the spring and I have recently attended a job fair where I was able to get some contact information for various nurse recruiters at the hospitals I am interested in. I would like to begin contact with these hospitals so that at least they have my name in their file system.

However, I am not sure what to say when I call them. Do I call and ask to set up a time to speak with the recruiter? Should I e-mail them first and then call? I am not sure how to go about this. At the job fair, I did have many of my general questions answered. What else can I talk to them about that would show my interest and would lead to an interview?

Anyone with some advice would be much appreciated~! Thanks =)

Or any tips how to get them to call you back? I have called some several times, and never got a phone call back.

yep alot are very rude and dont have courtest to call you back

but alot are very nice and will work with you

dont be a pest to them and you'll do fine

I found the best thing to do is go online to each hospital's website (provided they have one) and fill out the online application. Then call the recruiter listed on the website and introduce yourself. I got two interviews that way...good luck!

many time i feel with online application you dont get any reponse. i say it is best to go in person. it also seem like alotta recruiters screen their calls .
