I've been a midwife (BSc) for 7yrs with Adult Nursing qualifications (Diploma) for 5yrs. I would like to know what are the steps I need to take for my career.I've done some research but I am confused with how to proceed with applying either to Licensing board, Pearson Vue or CGFNS.
I would kindly appreciate some step by step tips.
Also, are my qualifications enough for RN in USA?
Thank you in advance.
The requirements will vary by state. Maybe someone might be able to guide you if you have a state in mind?
Moved to the Nurse Registration forum.
Texas requires CES or other approved agency that does similar to CES. Check out International registration with the state board of nursing. This will review whether your transcripts match US training. You will be required to have both clinical and theory hours in Paeds, Obstetrics, Mental Health and Adult.
Midwifery is another ball game and I know of a couple of UK midwives that made the move to the US and didn't get their midwifery due to the extra training required
