Hi,
I would like to ask if anyone experience this ... I passed Ca NCLEX RN in 2009, no SSN that time so did not get license. Transferred score to another state but did not get license either. Now I have my SSN, applied to Ca to get my license, was advised to apply by licensure by examination, I submitted all the requirements, then my analyst stated that my situation is different due to the fact that I don't have a license in any state and that I can't apply for licensure by examination as I already passed the NCLEX and that I can't apply for endorsement either as I didn't have a license to endorse. Very confused here! Now she (analyst) was asking me to have my score transferred back to CA and only then they will continue to move on with my file/application.
Any thoughts, help, advise, support will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for opening up this NCLEX Score Transfer. We are on the same situation as I also passed California NCLEX RN in 2009 but no SSN, hence was not given a licensed. Am here now at Missouri and a green card holder with a SSN. Per advice of another nurse, On various occasions, I made a request for a Score Transfer last April 2022 to CA BRN tru their website but got still got no replies. My last nursing related work was in 2009. Am now applying as a Nurse Assistant in a hospital while awaiting to this process to become a registered USRN. Hope somebody could help us with transfer score/ CA license and then endorsement of this license from CA to Missouri ----or maybe best is --- we need to apply a nursing job in California first---then transfer job later to another state?-----hoping to get advice..

Any updates regarding your case? I believe that since you initially transferred your score to another state, CA won't have your score anymore.

Good day just want to ask how can I transfer my NCLEX RN score from California to another state. thank you ?
I actually took the NCLEX RN March 2010 unfortunately they cannot issue permanent license in California without SSN number, but what I heard is that I can transfer it to another state thru score transfer. I just want to ask which state is accepting score transfer and the process of score transfer. Thank you in advance.???

Hello,
I would like to hear any updates from the commenters on this thread please. Thanks.
California BRN issued my permanent RN license last May, 2023 then Arizona BN issued my RN license last December, 2023 through endorsement.

Hi @homersimpson! Thank you for your update. Congratulations for getting your licenses. I saw your content from March 24, 2023. I am hoping if you could share some info that could help my case. I passed my NCLEX-RN (california) last 2010 too and I immigrated here in california and received my SSN last year (2023). May I respectfully ask how did you start applying for your permanent RN license in here in cali? You mentioned in your post "I submitted a new application along with the other requirements to the Board last January of 2023." What exactly was this "new application"? Thank you.
Just go to RN.ca.gov and start the "Licensure by Examination" process. Submit all their requirements, just like the time you first took the NCLEX (fill out the application, educational breakdown from your school, fingerprints, etc) and you'll also send send the NCLEX pass letter you received and your social security card.
Thank you! I really appreciate this @homersimpson

Hi do you need IELTS exam if you are already a permanent resident in US and passed the NCLEX california board of nursing
No. They did not require me to take IELTS.
