Hey everyone, so I will be taking the NCLEX for the third time pretty soon, right now I'm at a point where I'm over the entire study process, I've already reviewed content previously, and this go round I have been doing practice questions. I just don't know what else to do. Should I just relax my mind and take a break from studying or just push through it?

I passed nclex-rn on my third try. I went to the Kaplan nclex review 4 day class course and did the LaCharity PDA book after I failed the second time.

Yeah, but my thing is I'm tired of studying, I'm feeling burnt out

Hello Nick2you , during the last week before my NCLEX , I " decompressed my mind ." In other words, I took it easy and did little review and questions causally. In addition, I posted a thread on how I passed the NCLEX , I think it may help you :D

Relax. Without looking at any material write down a list of 10 things that you know you struggle with. from that point go to those direct sections and you do a mental - test your own brain review and then take a practice test do a light review the day before your NCLEX. Don't study the day of test. A doctor taught me this trick and it's worked great every time. Good luck!

Hey thanks, i'm using the exact same resource as you did. What were your scores on the practice test? There are some I'm getting between 70-88% and others where I'm getting 66-68%

I've been trying to take it easy, but I feel bad the days I don't study, but I need to relax.

Some of the sections I thought I'd do great on - I bombed and vice versa. I had to put the books in the closet - go run and walk through my parents woods on the farm and fall asleep early just to keep myself away from studying I became that anxious. Take a walk with a note pad if that makes you feel better or if you think of a weakness that you can focus on. DO NOT keep teaching yourself the material you already know.

I keep copy pasting what i wrote to this other user but i wrote this:

so one of my girlfriends whom im close with did def. have your issue.

this is what i told her to do its up to you if you think itll fit you cuz shes the leisure study person and has massive anxiety with reading....

1. Get the used version of the kaplan content book = READ IT itll take you 1 full week to go through it. write down notes of stuff you will forget and or dont know.

2. the hurst review its actually ONLINE for free just type in hurst mp3 and you will find links. LISTEN to those.

3. if you purchased kaplan complete the question trainers aim for 56+ even though kaplan says 60+, i have known people who have gotten below 60 and aced it. IF you cannot afford the kaplan q, trainers, that too is online you just have to google it kaplan question trainers pdf and manually take the test (pen and paper)

4. Get the 21 day NCSBN - NOW...this webstie has questions, I DID NOT recommend my friend do the questions but just become familiarized with the content. and it should take you less than 21 days to complete if you just go through a few sections a day. theyre decent reads. AGAIN, what you dont remember PRINT IT or copy paste it.

5. if you have time fr your NCSBN take questions

and last but not least

6 = REVIEW YOUR NOTES YOU MADE DURING KAPLAN + NCSBN + questions you may have gotten wrong. IF you did poorly on a q. trainer, RE-DO the q. trainer.

dont be frustrated, i knwo its easier said then done but once you have a PLAN you should be set doll!

I have been doing the NCSBN course for about 3 weeks now(I paid for 5 weeks), and that's been my only source of studying
