Any suggestions for distance education schools???

Published

I am interested in getting a degree in Nursing and I really don't know where to start. I am a Medical Transcriptionist and I want to be an RN, but I am looking for an online / distance education accredited school. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ONE??? PLEASE HELP!

Deaconess shool of nursing is a good one. You don't have to be an LPN to start your RN. I just talked to them today. If you are under 25 you have to have a ACT score of 19 or above to get in. They ask you to come to the school one time for 3-4 days. The school is in St. Louis MO. and they are accepting applications for fall semester. :roll

If at all possible I would encourage you to go the in class route for your initial nursing degree. The support of classmates is invaluable.

MommyNurseSarah,

Deaconess is a wonderful school! I'm in my 3rd semester in the online RN program. If I may clarify something that stnurse83 said - You will have to go to the campus much more than one time. You will have to go at least 5 times for 3-4 days. If you do just the PN component you only have to go twice.

If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me.
