I graduated in May of 2007 from RVCC. We were able to sign up for the clinical we wanted. I heard it's all assigned now. Either way, you have to be "flexible" with clinical scheduling. This translates to changing facilities and instructors within a week's time before it starts.
As for the parking at RVCC - there's no special lot for nursing students, but there should be!! I'm not sure about 5 pm, but the day parking was okay. Give yourself some time though, as you may have to walk across the campus.
Good luck to you if you decide to enroll in 2008.
Hello all I am planning to attend RVCC starting Jan 09 to take my pre req I have been lurking for a while and havent really seen many people on here attending this school it would be great if we could start a thread just for RVCC!
Out of curiousity how long did it take you all to finish up your pre-req if you have already done so? I dont plan on enrolling full time at first I plan on starting part time but eventually going full time and i know that takes longer. I am not really that worried about time though. I havent been in school since graduating high school back in 1998 soooooo I am trying to pratice and study now so that hopefully I dont have to take any remedial classes. What has your experiences been?

Hi,
I have a pretty good chance in being accepted in the fall '08 evening nursing program, and I'm feeling a little anxious in regards to managing work, school & family life. Since I have to keep my ft job, I'm wondering how many other nursing students in my shoes- delegate & maintain their sanity.Any info the the evening program, its course & test load, instructors, facilities & cost would be a great help. How were you advised of your clinical placement & when? How is the parking situation at 5:00 p.m. & do nursing students have reserved parking?Advice and anything else you would like to add would be appreciated as well. Bring it on!
Many, many thanks in advance!
