Any one in the KCC ADN program

Hi!

I am taking my NLN exam to get into the ADN program at KCC in July for Spring 09, just wanted to know from a students perspective what the program is like.

Oh it's okay...i am sure that you are very busy w/ studying & clinicals. It's okay, if you can't find the number, I don't wanna stress you out or give you a hard time tryin to get the number... I really hope that LCC opens a program...there is just too many nursing students applying, like every seems like it is getting harder & harder.

I am still waiting for the letter. They are pretty behind on the whole thing cuz too many applications came in...I am hoping maybe this next week i'll find out. I am sure to let you know how that goes...cross your fingers for me =)!

as of now there's no point in increasing the number of slots in nursing programs since there's no jobs. new grads are having great difficulty finding jobs and a lot of them are moving to the mainland after finding nothing. i suppose they could increase volume and just hope the job market turns around but then the state would be spending A LOT of money to train nurses that will ultimately be leaving Hawaii.

hey so did you get your letter from kcc yet? they said they sent it out last week friday...i didn't get mines yet but hopefully tomorrow...just curious if you got yours yet

I applied and its Monday, still havent gotten any mail from KCC. Cant wait till everyone gets it so we can move on with our lives.. haha.. its been such a long wait!! Good luck to everyone!:nuke:

Good luck to you all. Hopefully I'll see you newbies next semester =]. I was fortunate to not know the exact date so when my letter came it was a big surprise. I don't know what I would have done if I knew I had to wait two weeks. Go crazy, I suppose :bugeyes:

Hi ok so i got the letter...i am so disappointed....i didn't get into the program, not even alt. listed....i am kind of tired of waiting...i am just wondering what everyone else got & what they applied with...thanks

they need a reply by 11/10 though. guess i gotta talk to UHM and KCC's nursing depts. i don't think UHM has even finished the application process...

uhm hasn't sent theirs out yet. no idea how many people kcc puts on their alt list each semester...

I believe KCC alt lists around 10, no more than 15.

If you're worried about being alt listed, don't be. Your chances are still good. I think our class accecpted 8/10 of the alternates.

how do you get notified when you are selected? and how much time does kcc give you to turn in all the paperwork from the packet?
