Any one else annoyed?

Nurses New Nurse

Published

It seems like there a lot of posts lately from new grads asking for advice on if they should quit their job; either because a better one came up or they have been at it a month and have some excuse as to why its not working ("they did not tell me that in my interview", "its not what I thought", "the other nurses are mean" ect ect ect) at the same time, people that have been out of school for a year or more are still looking for jobs saying they will re-locate/take any jobs/work in any department/sell their soul/ect. Is it just me, or is this completely annoying and seem like these people are ungrateful to even have a job?

It's a big world and circumstances are different everywhere. Some people don't have many options, but there is nothing wrong with considering options when you do have them.

I don't find it annoying but I'm not in an area where jobs are scare either. Then again, neither are these new grads if they can afford to quit one job and take another. Sorry, but if someone isn't getting hired while another new grad is burning through positions, I'd suggest they take a good look at their resume and interviewing skills to figure out why that person is getting multiple job offers when they can't even find one.

If the only reason I can't find work while new grad X has already tried 2 jobs and has an offer for another is because they are in a different location and I can't (or won't) relocate, new grad X isn't taking a position that was an option for me anyway. If relocation is an option and I were desperate for work, I'd shoot them a pm and find out where I should be sending applications and what sorts of clothes to pack!
