Hi
Just wondering if there is anyone at Santa Monica College that just recently entered the Nursing program. I wanted to know how long you actually ended up waiting before you got in. I also wanted to know once you apply, does that mean they are guaranteed to let you in -if you have finished all the pre-requisites and met the GPA requirements. How do they pick and choose who they let in.
Curiosity is killing me:typing
Thanks
Hi guys,
I have also waited 1 yr now, estimating to be in by Spring 09, which will make the total wait time 1.5 yrs. One thing i like about Santa ANa is that school is on one day, and clinical is 12 hrs. So you only need to spend 2 days at school....(i think, to be confirmed), my friend went through this program and she loved it. She said the professors are great...a lot better than the LVN school that I went to w/ my friend. THey have new lab equipments cuz they recently received grant from the government, and that is also the reason why they are able to accept more students now, as compared to before. Hopefully they'll get more grant this year, soon, so we all can speed up the process a bit faster. I really like this waiting list system, that way everybody have a turn. Like they said, those with highest GPA may not make the best nurses; likewise, the ones w/ low GPA may be the best nurses. I'm going crazy just trying to get into an RN program. I heard that once u get your RN, doing RN-BSN, is piece of cake, right? I think so, and sure hope so!
OOPS Sorry guys, wrong school.

Yes, I know they just started the TEAS, but as I understand from the counselor this week they will be changing to another test. I'm not sure when they are making the change, tho, so you should check with them about it.
