There was a good old Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia, PA too closed in late 70's. Worked with many of their grads while at that hospital.
Facility lives on as Mercy Hospital of Philadelphia now. I've always felt it survived due to the dedication of it's nursing staff (lean medical staffing in late 70's and early 80's) with committement to urban poor patients...nursing certainly dominated while I was there. Floor nurses I started with in late 70's as LPN and ADN grads now with BSN/MSN due to employee tuition reimbursement. I interact with many of them today as discharge planners/ nurse managers. Hope your school was just as great.

Hello,
I'm currently a first year nursing student at Misericordia University in Dallas, PA. So far, it has been a big challenge but learning a lot!
Husband is teaching FT at the University in Religious History. I get to go for free and have wanted to return to school for some time. Now, I finally have the chance.
