Looking for current nurse managers willing to answer a few questions for me? Currently in school to further my degree and I am tasked with interviewing nurse managers. Thanks in advance!

Based on your experience, can you answer the 5 questions I have listed below?
1. 1. Whatever the setting, nurses fulfill a number of roles on the health care team. As the health care delivery system changes, the evolving role of the RN requires new competencies and skills in their roles. What are your thoughts on the nurse's role in the healthcare delivery system?
2. 2. What are the responsibilities of a nurse manager?
3. 3. Describe the accountability associated with being a nurse manager?
4. 4. One of the most critical issues in all areas of healthcare is cost containment. What are your views and thoughts on ways in which nurses can contribute to reducing healthcare costs?
5. It has been my experience that most employees do not understand cost efficiency or how to control a budget. Are classes available for managers and directors to be taught about an operating budget? Does your organization do this?

We get these requests often. What you need to understand is we here on AN try to remain anonymous as possible. Nursing is a small world & it doesn't take much to be identified.
In trying to remain anonymous you don't know (& can't verify) who you are talking to or if you are talking to a real nurse. What if the person who answers your questions is just a bored kid? I would recommend you go talk to a nurse manager in person. Since that what an interview is, discussing topics in person. I'm sure that is why you were given this homework.
I know nurses & NM are busy but maybe if you call up & make an appointment with them or go to your hospital's cafeteria you will find a NM willing to answer your questions.
