Hi,

I just passed my NCLEX-PN last year, November. Now I am waiting for my license mail to me. I am in Manila on vacation and coming back 3rd week on Jan. I am just wondering where can i find a job in Eastbay area. I have a couple of weeks to wait for my license number and still working on my new resume, hopefully when i get back to the US i can find a job right away. SNF, LTC or Hospital anything with opening position for LVN fresh grad. I appreciate any info on this..and help would be great..Thanks

Happy New Year to all!!:nurse::redbeathe

It's gonna take some time and a LOT of sending out your resume to everywhere and anywhere. It's tough times in CA, especially the SF Bay Area.

Just apply, apply, apply. And keep your chin up. You'll get a job, it just may not be immediately.

I heard from my sister who's an RN. I'm kinda hoping in Oakland and San Jose area..closes to mine and also Fremont...I wouldn't mind working in a nursing home or Assisted living if the pay is right...and the schedule..hard to be choosy this days specially in CA Bay area..Is LPN in others are still OK when it comes to employment??

Not in the Bay area. It might be months, or even a year or longer, before you find a job as an LVN in that part of the U.S.

What should I do? I was thinking of endorsement. I would like to transfer my license to Illinois. But on the packet they have one of the requirements is at least one year work experience on where you get your initial license. Can I actually apply for endorsement without this at all? I would like to work in Chicago they have a better LPN employment there and i used to live there so i knew a lot of friends whos a nurse working they might be able to help me get a job..??
