I am a full time mom right now who is very anxious to go back to school. I have looked into Pacific College and Stanbridge University and am stuck right now which school to go to. I need feedbacks from graduates of these school or any students who are enrolled in their LVN program. I have seen negative postings about Pacific College here at one point but couldn't find it now. Stanbridge just started 2 years ago that is why I'm hesitant to go there but their program seems to be good and they also had a 100% pass rate last year. Please help!!!

I would like to comment on the post by Nrs2Doc. I am a graduate of Pacific College and maintain a relationship with some of the students and teachers there. I am really baffled by your comments about the "mass exodus" of teachers from that college. Based on my experience there and input that I receive from people at the school, there is no so called "mass exodus" taking place.....

If you read my previous post, you will see that I left Stanbridge due to

the continuous change in teachers. My experience at Stanbridge was not good and resulted in the transfer....I am extremely glad that I made that decision.

So you see, we all have our own experiences. Perhaps your time would be better utilized in studying, rather than concentrating on Pacific College and quoting fictitious information on this site.

I am a previous graduate of Pacific College and would not have attended that school had I known then, what I know now. When I go through all the posts about this school, the same names repeatedly popup supporting the school. I feel it is the school making these posts. I went down to the school recently for a transcript, and was immediately asked by someone in registration to post a comment in this forum supporting the school. That is extremely unprofessional and I told the man that I passed the program and the NCLEX due to instructors that are now NO LONGER at the school. This school did nothing for me while I was there, nor does it support me now. When I went to the school there were almost no cars in the parking lot, yet it was early in the day and classes were in session. I keep in contact with my previous instructors who have moved on to better positions in better schools and would advise anyone considering going to school for Nursing to really look at the staff and the professionalism of those at the program. The fact that this school was so eager to get me to post tells me that the problems that I encountered at the school continue and have not been corrected nor addressed.:no::no::no::no:

I just received an email from allnurses.com that I had received a message from "slapntickle". Apparently this person feels that any positives about the college are "fake". I wonder why we both passed our State Boards? I passed the first time that I took it...hmmmmmmm Just a coincidence or fate..? Nothing to do with the education that I received from that college?

Sorry, but I feel I did receive a good education and I did receive support. I am not concerned with someone calling me a "fake". I stand behind my education and the success that I have received and I will refer the school to anyone wishing to become successful in nursing as well.
