Any hopeful advise for students on alternative list

Ok! I got a letter today stating I am on the alternative list for fall 2009:cry:. I don't know how far down the list I am they said that was classified, all they told me is that 35 people are on the list. THe;y would tell me how many people got accepted eaither. So what are my chances? They still want me to do everything as if Im going to be in the program like physical and stuff. Im just upset, give me hope.....

Well at my school they admit 80 people-for 64 slots. Apparently they never start the semester with more than 70 and that's after admiting from the wait list. The coordinator said we'd be suprised how many people apply and then for some reason can't start school. They also loose students at the first of the year (non-completion of courses, not getting CPR certification, etc) and they still take students up till the first day of classes. Thats probably why they want you to go ahead as if you were in-so they can call you at the last minute.
