Any guys pursuing nursing to meet women?

Um, I married a nurse and then decided to become one.

I have to love it. I deleted most of my social media to cut down on distractors in my life, and here I am on allnurses to really hone in and optimize my studying, only to get sucked into a thread haha.

To answer your question. No? My decision to enter school to become a nurse is solely based on two things that are important to me. Those are that I have a good career that I can feel great about, and that I can leave some sort of positive mark with my jobs. I have a degree in education and my field of specialty was general art. After bouncing from school to school for work and then 1 full year of under employment, I once again threw life on the backburner to go into a field with more opportunities. I'm 34 and I was never married. I lead a pretty unconventional life style. I'm not a church goer, I prefer quiet days indoors reading, and I paint when I have free time. I hate hate hate hate football (which I am told is un-American) or really most sports, but especially football. I am a huge nerd, I love going to conventions and I play PS4 or Switch ... Or ... I did.

I also practice ethical polyamory as opposed to monogamy.

A lot of people in rural Alabama do not really find these things to be positive traits. It is already difficult to find soul mates in these situations. The thought of meeting someone awesome did cross my mind, as it does when ever I start a new chapter in my life, but the idea was dashed immediately when I met my classmates. Great people, but a lot were already married (I live in the south, people marry young), before the close of our very first semester I can note 3 people getting engaged. Also, many of the single women in my program are in their late teens or early 20s. I prefer to date people a little closer to my age. Dating isn't off the table, but it isn't exactly a priority.

Total troll thread if I've see one, but what the hell. No, and this is why males have such a hard time in nursing because any crap like this. With that said, I've worked in areas where females were worse than the males, just more subtle about it, so it's a double edged sword.
