Any Good LVN/LPN Nursing Schools in L.A?

I attended Casa Loma College 2 years ago. Their 2 campuses are located in Van Nuys and Hawthorne.

I was about to come on and ask the same exact question. I took a look at Casa Loma and it seems like a good place to take classes for an LVN. I have just a few questions if anyone knows the answers:

1. Is there a waiting list

2. How high is the quality of education

3. How much does it cost

I appreciate any help

Also, are there any other schools in the San Fernando valley or ventura county that offer accredited LVN programs. They are so hard to find on the Internet

Hello!

I just started an LVN program 1 month ago at College of Nursing and Technology, on Sherman Way in Reseda. As far as I know, there's no waiting list, and the cost is about 18,000.00. I got a loan from Sallie Mae. I really like it so far. The owner is a very nice man who really cares about his students. If you're looking for a private LVN school, it's definitely worth looking into! Good luck!

I completed Casa Loma's LVN program in late 2005, and it cost $20,000 back then. However, they were planning to raise the tuition for future students. There was no waiting list, but 200 students typically applied each quarter, and only 24 were admitted into the program.

All of the private LVN programs in Southern California are expensive. You're basically paying for the convenience of avoiding waiting lists and prerequisites. You're paying for the convenience of being able to complete the program in 12 months.

The cheaper LVN programs can be found at the community colleges and adult education schools, as these institutions are publicly funded.

I'm having trouble finding any publicly funded LVN programs at community colleges, there is so little info on the web. Do you know of any community colleges that offer LVN in the San Fernando Valley/Ventura areas?

Oxnard Adult School used to offer an LVN program as recently as 5 years ago. You may wish to look up their telephone number on the internet, and perhaps call them to see if the program still exists.

Hello!!

A great program and not expensive is across the street from LAC USC Hosp. LVN ROP program, costs 2100.00 compared to the 28,000.00 I paid going to a private school that was not worth one cent. I spent the last six months of the program on my i-pod and texting my friends. The instructor gave so much wrong information, most students failed the exit exam!!
