Any Fall 2017 Phillips School of Nursing at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Students?!

Hello! I've been accepted into PSON AAS Program beginning Fall 2017 and its odd not to find any of my fellow classmates on this site :unsure:It would be nice to get familiar with one another before the program begins & update one another on how we are coming along in preparation of the program. Maybe even share some information from other threads as far as increasing our success in the program! The competition is finally over and we are officially a family Well, hope everyone enjoys their day and I'm excited to hear from my soon to be fellow classmates! Congratulations

@_EMTtoNurse I don't understand how nursingcas calculate the gpa neither. I don't like using nursingcas it's too much . You have to enter your transcripts , I prefer the old way. You should be good with both your score and GPA. I'm worried that I won't be accepted I didn't score too good on the hesi

I didn't fail a class but GPA was 3.03 at the end if the day....I took all the pre recs the school requires, my psych professor sent in my letter of recommendation and 2 others..so i guess we wait until after Friday. But I would like to know because I need to know what to do next...do I look for another sxhool? I truly do not no and I don't want to bother Ms. Gallo she is so nice and must be ao busy

@munsonlou I called her Monday and that's what she told me . You can always try giving her a call and ask for your status. I applied to other schools just incase I don't get accepted. I will wait till next week and see if I will receive an email

@ngelin90 I hope that PSON does not think about those Fs. On my unofficial transcript, it states that the F should not be calculated into the GPA.

@louismimi what other schools did you apply to? I did Hunter, BMCC, QCC, KCC,and I am thinking of looking into Montefiore as well. I wonder if they send letters so soon after the application deadline. I am assuming they need time to compare and contrast candidates. I only submitted 2 recommendation letters but I think they were pretty strong.

@EMTtoNurse I applied to BMCC and Kingsborough montefiore I heard it's a good nursing school but it's located in mount Vernon. My recommendation letter that I gave was from my managers where I work at . I submitted my resume because they look into that also . I don't why they ask for resumes but whatever.

If they ask for your transcript is usually a good sign. I spoke to Ms **** and she told me acceptance letters will be mailed this week
