Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

Hi just started Excelsior, Micro and NC 1 wondering if anyone in this area doing the same...would you be interested in starting a study group online or otherwise? Im a LPN of 26 years 54 now back to the books gbhbh

hello, my name is Shay. I'm in desperate need of some advice! I just completed the entire ADN program at PCCUA community college but I wasn't able to pass the Hesi exit exam on July 6, 2006. Without saying I was devastated. So now I need some direction from you all. They make you sit out for a whole semester before coming back to take another Hesi to get back in. If you don't pass it then you are not eligible to come back there ever. That also means that I will not be eligible to transfer to another college because I wouldn't be eligible to come back there. All confusing huh, I know.If I passed the hesi, I would only have 1 class which is lab. If I don't I lose everything! So I guess what I'm trying to ask is do you think excelsior would work for me. I have called excelsior trying to find out the cost and everything but they don't give you any direct answers. So I would like to know: How much do you think it would cost me approximately? How long would it take to complete if I studied daily? Is it possible to complete the nursing courses in

Shay:

I am in the EC program now. Began to take the nursing concepts exams (1 - 7) in Oct 2005 and finished the last exam in early May. You can do these exams fast if you want to. I didn't study very hard for the most part and passed each one. The price isn't cheap with all of the fees--but cheaper than regular school all things considered. I'm getting ready for the CPNE which costs about $1,700 each time you take it. Plus--you'll want to take the workshop so add another $725 (plus hotels). Its worth it to me to get this done.

You'll need to be motivated to do the EC program and to find ways to get the info you need. If you want to do it, I'm certain you can. But, on the other hand if all you need is to pass one exam to finish the other thing you were doing, I'd put all my energy into that.

Hope this helps. Best regards

L.
