Excelsior lpn to rn. Just got back on track with pre reqs. Is there anyone in or around the new orleans area in this program.

Thanks! I was super stoked! I used the recommended book and then reviewed with Lisa Arends Study Guide off of ebay. It really helped me refresh and condense what I read.

I used study guide 101 and mandy parker you tube videos for microbiology and it was great and I've used them for all the nursing classes too so far. I bought one of those Lisa ones and it was absolute trash. there were so many misspelligs and wrong answers it was awful and the date on it was like 15 years ago. So i didn't trust using it.

Thank you guys for the feedback, Mandy Parker videos are great, used her for A&P and started with micro, just didnt know at first if it would be enough. I read a chapter in the text book and then listen to her video for clarification, so much is being said in the chapters and about time I finish reading i cant tell you what i read, so watching her videos afterwards really clear things up.

Hey, just a heads up! I just passed Health Safety yesterday. It was my first nursing exam with Excelsior so I didn't really know what to expect. I used the recommended text and studygroup101. The info was so familiar that it was difficult to focus on. The test was more difficult than I expected. There were A LOT of SATA; probably 30 or more. I came out with a B. I feel like now that I know their style of nursing questions, I will be able to more effectively prepare for the exams. So, its on to Foundations!

the wait time for a cpne date is quite long.

for those of you in the theory classes, use study guide 101 /their practice test questions are great.

most of the theory exams are now making you answers questions such as "place in order , or what is the most appropiate response
