Any CSUChico Fall 2011 nursing applicants out there?

Just curious to see if there is anyone out there who applied to the nursing program at Chico for fall 2011.

really? I live like an hour away and I didn't get mine today.... where do you live?

Just got my letter :-( Im #23 on the alternate list.... I had 82 points and the cut off was 83. So close yet so far...

Thank you. I live in Chico so it was pretty quick. The letter was dated April 15.

do you think we'll be notified before may 1st? im also on the alt list and i dont wanna pay a 200$ non refundable check to the school if i dont get in. #18 here.

It's hard to say because I know a lot of the applicants who have gotten in probably applied to other programs as well... I'm still waiting on news from sac state and long beach but I dont know if they will send out letters before may 1st. So I'm guessing the alternate spots won't open up until everyone finds out if they got into any other schools. Ive heard that if you don't pay the $200 by may 1st and you end up getting in then you won't be able to take that spot. I'm going to call on Monday to verify that info. Do you mind me asking what your points, gpa and teas scores were?

chico sent me a letter saying i got 82 as well. as for my gpa, very low.... 3.4 something. my teas carried me with a 94%

i am also waiting for long beach and sac state as well! but i think i might not get into LB because i felt taht i messed up the writing portion. i didnt pay attention to the video clip :p silly me.....

If it makes you feel better, I got in to Chico but if I get into Sac State I'll be giving up my spot at Chico. I think alot of people will be doing the same thing. From everything I've heard a good 2/3 of people get pulled from the alt list most semesters. Sac State should let us know by Friday. I have a feeling you alt-listers will be getting calls after the first. Good luck to all of you!

for those of you who got in for Fall 2011 for Chico do you think I will be able to get in for spring 2012 with 79-80pts? or waitlisted if so what number waitlisted. just an estimate would help ease my anxiety haha

I don't know how many points I scored but I got A's in my prereqs and 90 on my TEAS, I had all the coreq's done but other than that I didn't get any other points for medical experience or being billingual. I ended up being #3 on the wait list and got in :) Good luck!

Hey man, I'm first semester (Fall 2011) and got in with 83 no waitlist. I was towards the bottom I know. Not sure how low on the waitlist people got in but I know it was a couple points down. Also I here Spring is usually a little easier to get in then fall so its hard to say where your at. Hope it works out for you, I know how frustrating the wait can be...

thank you and yes, they do say it might be less competitive in the spring than fall. and it sounds good to here that you got in without waiting...
