I'm considering Rnto BSN course at Excelsior College.
I likes to know which publishing co's study guides are recommended.
I only contacted the Distance Learning System. How is it?

I have not used any publishing companies. They are too expensive and you don't learn enough other than to just pass the test. I downloaded the study guides from the EC website. Purchased the books off of half.com for a song and looked up everything, read it, wrote it down, studied it and took the test. Much cheaper and much better education. Good Luck.

i passed my excelsior tests by buying the saunders comprehensive rn nclex book. it's about 50 bucks. it has everything you need to know to pass the exams. i used the cd rom that came with it to practice taking test questions. the med surge book excelsior reccommends also has a cd rom that comes with it and i also used all the questions on that to study for the exams. i will say i did not like the first exam because like all nursing schools it deals with how should i say i can't remember well but nursing theories and i found it rather subjective. so i would reccommed takeing 3,4,5,6, before taking 1. and i think if you grad from lpn school within either 2 - 5 years you can skip the test 2 if you pass test 1. i believe you don't have to take the tests in order.
